RIKBAKTSA: ONE HISTORY UNDER TWO PERSPECTIVES

RESUMO: O presente estudo busca fazer a contextualização histórica da etnia Rikbaktsa que imemorialmente habita a bacia do rio Juruena ao noroeste do Estado de Mato Grosso. Tendo em vista que há pouca coisa estudada e escrita sobre ela e os registros existentes até o momento têm como referência um ou outro não índio, que na ocasião do contato conviveram com a etnia supracitada. Tecemos uma comparação entre dois olhares para a história dos Rikbaktsa – o dos não índios e o de um Rikbaktsa. Os primeiros trazem o ponto de vista e as emoções de pessoas que eram extrínsecos a esta cultura, pois, participaram de um curto hiato temporal na vida destes indígenas, que é conhecido por alguns pesquisadores como período de pacificação. Levamos em conta também o fato destas pessoas estarem na posição de pacificadores, o que consequentemente era uma posição de maior poder em relação ao povo Rikbaktsa que teve a sua vida modificada com a chegada dos não índios, passando a viver de acordo com as regras dos pacificadores, conforme Arruda e Pires. Procuramos então nesta pesquisa de cunho qualitativo, fazer um levantamento de material sobre a etnia e a partir de estudos etnográficos com base em entrevistas e observações, reescrevermos esta história sob o olhar de um membro da comunidade Rikbaktsa que viveu momentos marcantes durante este período. Esta pesquisa busca contribuir para a compreensão e construção de conhecimento sobre a história da etnia Rikbaktsa.

ABSTRACT: the present study search to do the historical context of people Rikbaktsa that immemorially lives on the Juruena river basin to the northwest of the State of Mato Grosso. Considering that there is little content studied and written about it and the records existing until the moment have as reference one or other non-indian, who lived at the occasion of contact with the ethnicity above mentioned, we make a comparison between two views on the Rikbaktsa’s history - the of non-Indians and a  Rikbaktsa. The first bring the view and the emotions of people who were out of this culture, because they participated in a short temporal gap in the life of this indigenous, which is known by some researchers like the pacification period. We also took in consideration, the fact of these people are in the position of peacemakers, what consequently was a position of larger power in relation to the Rikbaktsa people who had their life changed with the arrival of non-indians, passing to live up to the rules of  the peacemakers, according to Arruda e Pires. We aimed then in this qualitative research, to do a survey of  material about these people and from ethnographic studies based on interviews and observations, we propose to rewrite the history under the perspective under the gaze of a community Rikbaktsa who lived outstanding moments during this period. This research seeks to contribute to the comprehension and the building of knowledge about the history of Rikbaktsa people.
